Each year, DHS PTA offers three to four $500 awards to seniors graduating from Davis High School. In an effort to gather a large pool of applicants, DHS staff, parents and other students may nominate graduating seniors for this award.
DHS PTA values DHS's diverse campus community and would like to acknowledge student contributions that fostered our community or improved the high school experience of one or more DHS students. The students' contribution may involve service or support of others in our high school community or other actions that foster community spirit, awareness or growth. The nomination shall include a summary of the nominee's actions that made DHS a better community. The PTA selection committee may interview students and select awardees based on these values, and the following:
- Student shall have a GPA above 2.5
- Financial need and U.S. citizenship are not required
- The PTA award is not a college scholarship but an award to recognize student contributions to our community.
